Chapter Handbook

Mission Statement

The AABPS Student Chapter aims to support Bangladeshi students in pharmaceutical sciences by fostering professional growth, providing networking opportunities, and enhancing knowledge in the field. Through educational initiatives, career development, and community engagement, the chapter supports students’ journeys toward becoming leaders in pharmaceutical science.

Chapter Objectives

Provide educational and career-related resources specific to the pharmaceutical sciences.

Offer mentorship, networking opportunities, and professional development activities.

Participate in activities such as seminars, conferences, and webinars to bridge academic and industry knowledge.

Support members in their transition to professional roles in the pharmaceutical field.

Structure of AABPS Student Chapter

The student chapter will have the following positions:

Faculty/Professional Advisor

Student chapter must have a Faculty Advisor/Faculty Advisors who is/are members of AABPS. The advisor provides guidance, supports chapter initiatives, and liaises with AABPS for official matters.

Membership

All students in pharmaceutical sciences, including undergraduate, graduate (MS, PhD, PharmD), and postdoctoral fellows, are eligible for membership. All members must join AABPS to participate actively in chapter activities.

Reporting Requirements

The Chair or Co-Chair must report to the AABPS Executive Committee or the Head of Education every two months during the AABPS EC monthly meetings. This report should include updates on chapter activities, member engagement, financial summaries, and plans for the upcoming period.

All members are expected to adhere to the AABPS values of integrity, respect, and professionalism. Any violations of these principles may result in disciplinary actions or removal from chapter activities, as deemed appropriate by AABPS.
