Speaker Bio: Dr. Mamoon Rashid
Dr. Mamoon Rashid serves as the Director of International Recruitment for Southern Asia at the Appalachian College of Pharmacy. He earned both his Bachelor of Pharmacy (2003) and Master’s in Pharmaceutics from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. After working in the pharmaceutical industry and academia in Bangladesh, he completed his PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2013. Dr. Rashid’s research interests span drug delivery and molecular biology. His PhD research identified the role of the endopeptidase neurolysin in stroke pathology, presenting it as a potential therapeutic target. His current projects include analytical method development for compounded pharmacy products, transdermal drug delivery systems, and drug product stability. In addition to his scientific credentials, Dr. Rashid holds a 3-year Diploma in Information Technology, is a Certified Adobe Captivate Specialist, and enjoys graphic design and educational technologies.
